The Impact of IBD in Canada
November 1 marks the start of Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Month. As part of the launch, Crohn's and Colitis Canada is releasing a new 2018 report on the Impact of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Canada. The numbers are sobering. 270,000 Canadians are living with IBD - that's about 1 in every 135 people. This includes everyone from children to senior citizens.
With research investment from Crohn's and Colitis Canada, the Coombes lab is working to understand the origins of Crohn's disease and deliver on the promise of improve the lives of children and adults affected by this chronic disease.
