Bacteria resisting arrest

The latest news from the benches was published this week in Cell Reports where we discovered a new way that Salmonella Typhimurium evades innate host defenses to improve survival in macrophages. This was led by PhD student Bushra Ilyas and involved a lot of the Coombes crew, along with our great collaborators at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. This was a great fun project, started a while ago by Dr. David Mulder, former Coombes lab PhD student.
